Rhombus Energy Solutions Is At The Energy Storage North America Show This Week
(Rick Sander, CEO, Wednesday, November 6, 2019)
Today is the first full day of the Energy Storage North America (ESNA) Show at the San Diego Convention Center. ESNA is the premiere show for energy storage and microgrid technologies. The conference has a number of featured keynote speakers, including technology executives, government officials, and other luminaries in the energy storage industry. The show has over forty sponsors, including utility companies, system vendors, and media partners. To put this show and the energy storage market into context, in 2018 less than 20GW of energy storage was deployed worldwide. By 2040, this is expected to grow to 1,000GW, across a wide variety of use cases.
Why is ESNA important for Rhombus? The answer is simple – energy storage will be critical in a variety of the markets that Rhombus operates in, from electric vehicle charging to microgrids. As the demand for power increases and renewables are leveraged more and more as an energy resource, augmenting grid power with energy storage resources has become more important. It isn’t just a question of economics and reducing grid power consumption – it is often a question of power availability. Because of this, Rhombus is building power solutions that are ready to integrate with energy storage technologies today.
